The ND-GAIN Corporate Adaptation Prize recognizes organizations that display excellence in resilience or adaptation to climate change. The winners of the 2015 prize were presented during the event, followed by a lively panel discussion with judges and recipients on global solutions to changing climate.

The event was hosted by Baker & McKenzie in connection with Climate Week NYC and the United Nations Sustainability Summit.

In April 2013, the Global Adaptation Institute moved to the University of Notre Dame, becoming the Notre Dame Global Adaptation Index (ND-GAIN). ND-GAIN, part of the Climate Change Adapation program of the University of Notre Dame Environmental Change Initiative, is focused on building resilience to climate change as a key component to better preparing humans and their environment for the coming century. Our mission is to enhance the world's understanding of the importance of adaptation and facilitate private and public investments in vulnerable communities.

ND-GAIN Scientific Advisor, Ian Noble, discusses the Index and how it can be used.

ND-GAIN's 2014 Annual Meeting was the premier gathering of domestic and international adaptation leaders. The event, held at the non-partisan Wilson Center, was attended by more than 100 thought leaders from the private, public and non-profit sectors. The panels focused on adapting to global shifts. It also included the release of the 2014 ND-GAIN Index rankings and acknowledged the ND-GAIN Corporate Adaptation Prize winners.
