The Global Adaptation Institute

Andrea Urbina joined the Global Adaptation Institute in January 2011 where she provides interdepartmental and administrative support.

Before joining the Global Adaptation Institute, Urbina held several public relations and communications positions in New York City and Washington D.C. A New York native, in 2009, Urbina moved to Washington, D.C. to serve as a Public Relations Fellow at Public Strategies, working in the business development sector and writing proposals and leading presentations for clients. Other recent communications experience includes working on public relations, corporate and political campaigns in Virginia.

While in New York, she interned at WABC, a news talk radio station in New York City, supporting several nationally syndicated programs.

Urbina is a graduate of Manhattan College, NY, where she completed her B.A. in Political Science and acquired development experience working at the Alumni Relations department. In May 2011 she completed her Project Management certification at Georgetown University.
